Every year, the SE Section asks each Chapter to nominate a member for the SE Section 99 of Note. This year, the Alabama 99s nominated Nancy Miller-Borg.

After earning her pilot’s license in 1970, Nancy joined the Ninety-Nines. She was a member of several chapters before she reached Alabama. She has been Alabama Chapter Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary numerous times. She has also been the aerospace education chair, nominating committee chair, scholarship fund chair, and airmarking chair.

For 26 years, Nancy has organized the Amelia Earhart Luncheon sponsored by the Alabama 99s and the Zonta Club of Birmingham. The luncheon raises money for the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum, owned by the 99s. Over the last 26 years, the luncheon has raised more than $30,000 to help fund improvements at the museum. Nancy’s support for the museum also included two terms on the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum Board of Trustees.

In Nancy’s spare time, she raises llamas, rescues dogs, and, since 2016, has been a Council Member for the city of Steele, Alabama.

Thank you, Nancy, for all you do for the Ninety-Nines!
