The Alabama 99s would like to congratulate Luicija Smaizyte-Wright on winning the 2024 Minnie Wade Memorial Scholarship. She obtained her Private Pilot Certificate in December 2024 and plans to use the scholarship to obtain a seaplane rating and then pursue her instrument rating. Liucija hopes to inspire other females to pursue careers in aviation, as well as donate her time for animal rescue flights.
