On Saturday, November 14th, the Alabama 99s toured the Control Tower at Huntsville International. We couldn’t have asked for a better day! The weather was nice and we could see for miles from the tower. It was very educational to visit the radar room and sees what goes on on the other side of the microphone. The controllers where very helpful in answering any questions we had about their job and what they expect from pilots. They explained the flight control strip and how it’s generated. We are lucky to have people on the ground that can help us out when we are in the air.
Thank you to the Huntsville International FAA Controllers for setting up the tower for us.
